"Caitlin - I ran my first marathon in memory of my best friend's dad, and it was all the motivation I needed for 26.2 and then some. For my 2nd, I raised $2,200 for Team LUNGevity at the Chicago Marathon, and the feeling of raising the money far surpassed anything I could have expected to gain from simply running a race.
Also, my best friend was diagnosed with brain cancer when she was 20, and I'm proud to say she is a 7 years cancer-free because of people like you and me - running and raising money for the cause. I enjoy your blog, and look forward to reading your training stories! You can DO it:)
